April 2004: National Community Service with Lambda Theta Nu
Throughout the month of April, the ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. and Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc. will be uniting their efforts on the 1st annual "Women-4-Women: Stopping the Violence Against Women" community service. This service effort will be geared towards ending the violence against women in Cuidad Juarez and Chihuahua, Mexico. The goal is to attain over 10,000 signatures on petitions that will be circulated via university campuses nationwide. These petitions will be addressed to the heads of state in Mexico in order to request more governmental intervention and protection for victimized women in Mexico. November 22, 2003: National Community Service with Chi Upsilon Sigma
The sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. and Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. will be participating in a national community service with the Community Food Bank of NJ on Saturday, November 22, 2003 from 12-2pm. The sisters of LTA and CUS will be working together on this day to package, store, label and sort toiletries, canned food and non perishable items for the homeless in NJ. The service will be held at the Community Food Bank of NJ 31 Evans Terminal Road Hillside, NJ 07205. Sisters interested in attending are asked to notify our National Director of Public Relations at publicrelations@lambdalady.org as soon as possible, but no later than November 20, 2003.

October 25, 2003: Make a Difference Day
On Saturday, October 25, 2003 all chapters of Lambda Theta Alpha will participate in the first-ever nationwide "Advance our Youth LTA Style", a national community service project in celebration and observance of Make a Difference Day 2003! Sisters from chapters across the nation will be outreaching to our communities' youth by coordinating a one-day mentoring workshop to local grade, middle school, and high school youth and encouraging them to seek higher education and positive lives. Lambda Theta Alpha continuously progresses and aids in the advancement of our communities, and this service will prove to be no different.
